Connect Claude and ChatGPT to your data

You can now connect Claude or ChatGPT straight to your InfoLobby workspaces. Ask your assistant which deals closed last quarter, have it file a new record from an email you paste in, or get it to summarise a comment thread — working against your live data, not a copy.

There is no API key to paste and nothing to install. You click Connect, sign in, choose which workspaces to share, and approve.

Connect from Claude

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Click Add custom connector.
  3. Paste https://infolobby.com/mcp and click Add, then Connect.
  4. Sign in to InfoLobby, pick the workspaces to share, and click Authorize.

Connect from ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Add a custom connector — on some plans this sits under Advanced → Developer mode.
  3. Paste https://infolobby.com/mcp.
  4. Approve the sign-in and workspace selection when prompted.

What your assistant can do

  • Find things — search, filter and sort records across any table, or run one of your saved views
  • Change things — create, update and delete records
  • Follow the conversation — read a record's comment thread and post to it
  • Handle files — upload, download and remove attachments
  • Build automations — account owners can have an assistant draft a flow, which is created switched off so you can review it before it runs

You stay in control

The connection acts as you. It reaches exactly the data you can reach, with your workspace roles and field permissions applying unchanged. It cannot restructure your workspaces or tables, manage members, or touch billing.

When you authorize, you choose which workspaces to include — leave one out and it stays invisible. Every connection is listed under Account → Connected Apps with what it can do and when it was last used, and Revoke takes effect immediately.

Two things worth knowing: comments your assistant posts are visible to your team and look like they came from you, and deleted records are gone for good. Read before you approve.

Working in the terminal?

If you use Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI or another local agent, keep using the InfoLobby Skill instead. A connector's tool definitions take up room in the model's context on every single turn; a skill stays out of the way until it is actually needed. The connector is for Claude on the web and ChatGPT, whose sandboxes can't make the calls a skill needs.

Full setup instructions, troubleshooting and developer details are on the Connect page.
